Pilates: Pilates is a form of exercise emphasizing the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness to support efficient, graceful movement. It was developed by Joseph Pilates and is also known as the Pilates Method. In this 1 hour class, it is mostly mat work, but there is also incorporation of the exercise ball, bands, light weights, and TRX straps.
Intervals: Intervals is a 45 min. exercise class developed by Rhona Stocksdale, with use of the TRX straps and cardio combined. The TRX straps are hung on the wall and the participant holds handles to suspend the body, using only body weight to gain strength. This form of strength training is a total body work out. The cardio portion is either STEP aerobics or Cardio Kick Boxing, alternating from TRX to cardio every two to three minutes.
Mix It Up: Mix It Up is Instructors choice. The participant is in for a surprise; normally this class will be an hour of cardio and strength training combined using a variety of apparatus; balls, bands, barbell work, medicine balls and free weights.
BODYPUMP: BODYPUMP will strengthen your entire body. It targets all major muscle groups by using exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. Body Pump uses the LES MILLS SmartTech equipment. These Smart Steps, Bars and Hand Weights have been specifically designed to reduce transition time and aid in muscle isolation.
Half and Half: Half and Half is a class with 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of BODYPUMP. The cardio portion can be STEP aerobics, Cardio Kick Boxing, or a surprise cardio exercise developed by the instructor.
Senior Stretch: Senior stretch class is a 30 minute class with a variety of strength exercises. The class is held Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week at 8:30. Monday and Friday is strength and stretching days using chairs, weights, exercise and medicine balls, bands, and TRX straps. Wednesday is cardio day, aerobic exercise, strength, balance and agility training. It may be a senior class, but all are welcome.
Yoga: Introduces the fundamental principles of alignment and breath work in a flow of postures linked together by the breath. Yoga is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of hathayoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format.
BANG Power Dance: A fusion of boxing, hip-hop, aerobics, world dance, and body weight training, all while wearing weighted gloves.
